Cold Process Soap:
Soap is by special order only for friends, friends of friends and family, or for local charity events.
Allow 8 weeks minimum lead time. A full loaf yields 10 standard sized bars.

Cost:

Cost is dependent on the materials used. Currently (2025), the cost for a single loaf of base recipe soap averages around $25-$30. Specialty oils or butters increase that price.

With a few exceptions, fragrance oil prices are pretty reasonable and consistent at roughly $5-$10 and ounce. Essential oil and absolute prices vary widely, and wildly – from $6 to $200+ an ounce.

Full Loaf

A full loaf is approximately 3 pounds of fully cured soap. Single scent and color (may be swirled). Delivered whole or sliced.
My standard recipe soaps are made from Olive, Avocado, Coconut, and Castor oils. I typically have cocoa or shea butter available as well, which create a luxurious bar of soap. Other oils or addatives are by special request.

Shave Soap

1 1/2 pounds and yields 5 to 9 (depending on mold used) round soaps to fit shave mugs.
Shave Soaps are made from Olive, Avocado, Coconut, and Castor oils with Shea Butter. Clay is added to increase slip.

Other Ingredients:

Scent: I primarily use essential oils, but also use select fragrance oils that don’t trigger my chemically sensitve nose. I try to have a few basics on hand, but special orders can be managed.

- Lavender
- Rosemary
- Lemongrass
- Peppermint
- Citrus – Hot process only

Colors: My preference is for natural or nature identical clays and oxides or botanical materials. For more vibrant colors, I have a stock of micas as well.

My go to suppliers are Brambleberry, Mad Micas, and Mountain Rose Herbs but products from other suppliers can also be arranged. Special ingredient orders may require additional time.
